Jessi Alexander
Nashville, TN
Jessi Alexander has penned five number-one hits for country radio, including “I Drive Your Truck” recorded by Lee Brice, which won Song of the Year at the 2013 CMA Awards, the NSAI Awards of that same year and the 2014 ACM Awards. Additional number ones include Blake Shelton’s “Mine Would Be You” and “Drink on It.” Alexander’s career first took off with the song “The Climb.” Miley Cyrus recorded the song and it became the anthem for the box office hit Hannah Montana: The Movie.
In June 2020, Alexander celebrated another number one with Scotty McCreery’s “In Between,” becoming the second-greatest ascent to the top in the Billboard Country Airplay chart’s 30-year history. She also released her solo album Decatur County Red that year.
