Armed with her ’78 Gibson Les Paul and a powerhouse voice that can shake walls, Chicago singer/songwriter Aly Jados performs with everything she’s got—heart, soul, sweat and tears. Jados’s unique voice not only earned her spots on American Idol and The Voice, but also an appearance on 2015’s all-female Kiss cover album, Kiss and Makeup. Following her debut EP Don’t Come Easy, Jados released her second EP, Was Here. The album’s radio-worthy track “Hold” has been trending on YouTube ever since, and for good reason: her lyrics weave a story that anyone can relate to—not to mention her soulful, raspy voice. These days, you still can catch Jados with her trusty Les Paul, rocking rooms throughout Chicago and beyond—solo and with her band Blood People.
