This morning I put my paws down on the long road that leads me home. I leave behind the land of sacred mountains and fertile valleys. Of rushing rivers now sending winter's snow down to the sea. Farewell to the huckleberry and the ponderosa pine, the golden bell and the bitterroot. To the ground squirrels rushing about on the most urgent business of the day. I will miss the cool morning and the crisp clean air. I will no longer round every corner with a sense of wonder and expectation. What is waiting around the bend? Bison? Bears? Elk? That was last week, what would next week possibly bring to compare? Why would I ever search the sky, when I know that there will be no eagles? Most of all, I will miss you all. Big Sky Country? More like Big Smile Country. Big hearts. Open arms. That is the part of Montana that I carry home with me. Wherever my travels take me, the song of the Meadowlark will always bring me back to you. Thank you Paws Up. This is the first time in my life that going home has ever felt like leaving home.

I have traveled to over 20 countries, am in the 1 million+ mile club for several airlines, manage a $1b corporate travel budget. And finally, after 20 years on the road have found THE annual vacation destination for me and my family – welcome to Paws Up.

My wife, children and I have been fortunate enough to travel and vacation at some of the finest properties and resorts in the world.  We lead a very busy lifestyle so when we vacation we expect nothing but the best…and Paws Up delivers.

We started vacationing at Paws (4) years ago and now we go every summer AND winter.  Paws Up converted our family from "tropical" vacationers to "outdoor/mountain" ones.  Our family refers to Paws Up as our home away from home.  The ownership, management and entire staff treat you like family and the “we can do that” attitude is unlike anything that we have ever experienced on other vacations.  Paws Up can best be described as understated and unpretentious but very posh serving the likes of all.  The clientele that the property attracts is very unique and one of a kind.  You will make special friends at Paws Up just like all the rest of us do.

The resort could be completely full and you would think that your family was the only one on earth.  However, the food, entertainment and ambiance you will find at the Tank, Pomp and Trough (bar and restaurants) can change all of that in a minute if you so desire.  The activities are abound from horseback riding, ATV’ing, skeet shooting, hiking, rough water rafting, repelling, mountain biking to the lake house.  Your days will NEVER grow dull.  There is no better feeling than engaging in an activity or two a day and then going back to your home, tent or the pavilion at your camp to relax, nap and have great conversation.

Paws Up is nothing short of spectacular and has earned its name as The Last Best Place.  If you think any other Glamping resort compares?  Try again, they not only invented it, they perfected it

Paws Up is a truly amazing place!  Thank you for an experience of a lifetime.  Morgan and Sim, you made River Camp rock.  The s’mores were incredible.  Roy, Brooke, Mike, Tara, and Justin, we loved seeing you all everyday.  Thanks for making the Lake House, ATVs, Sporting Clays and White Water so much fun.

The Resort at Paws Up is truly amazing, it was a dream destination and a dream trip. Montana and the resort were more than we could have asked for.  I cannot say enough about the “family” of people who work there, they made us feel like the most important people on the resort, we miss them and our dream to visit again. There is no need to buy food for the cabin, the food at the resort is the best we have had, from breakfast to dinner and dessert, they will not let you leave hungry.  If you have a chance to go to this resort, TAKE IT!!!!

As usual, we had our best vacation ever.  We always say that when we leave Paws Up.  We look forward to our 4th return trip and the 3-day Outfitter excursion in 2011.  All the best and thanks to the great staff.

The accommodations were great, the staff was excellent, the service was perfect and we had a great time. The best way to determine if we enjoyed ourselves is the fact that we have already rebooked 2 more stays and are contemplating a "big event" with 2 other couples to celebrate the ladies 60th birthday.  We have stayed at some of the finest resorts throughout the world and the accommodations at Paws Up are as good as any we’ve been to. We couldn’t say more.

This is our 4th visit to Paws Up.  There is no other place like it.  The magnificent Montana wilderness, combined with luxury and the most incredible food is only part of the story...your staff makes every visit so special!  We are scheduled to come back in June ’09.  Now it feels like we are coming home when we visit Paws Up.  Thank you so much for everything.

Paws Up was BY FAR the best vacation we’ve ever experienced. Every single staff member of the property was more then kind and all had a very &quot;I want to make this vacation wonderful for you&quot; attitude.  Paws Up is the most amazing little gem of a resort that we have ever come across. We had the most wonderful time, and our family will always stay at Paws Up during Christmas now because there is no where else we’d rather be. We already booked our Christmas vacation for next year before we even had left Paws Up. Yep, it’s just that good!

The whole family has had a wonderful & memorable experience which we will never forget.  The staff at Paws Up is excellent—words cannot express how good a job they do.  Nothing’s a problem.  What a wonderful place to work!!  The quality of all the buildings and interior design & furnishings is astounding!!  The equestrian center is to die for!!

Wow!!! This was the best vacation we’ve had out west. We stayed in one of the wilderness homes and it was as nice as any home gets.  The guides were so great with the novices in our group as we snowmobiled and four wheeled the area. The food was hearty and satisfying at lunch and breakfast, dinner was three course gourmet.  The beds were sumptuous and the towels were huge, soft and worth the trip alone.  We loved the trip so much, we plan to return in the fall and fly fish.

What an amazing experience!  The perfect vacation!  All of our expectations were far exceeded!  We can’t wait to come back in September—we will be counting the days until we return to paradise!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary here with our children and grandchildren, and we all had a wonderful time.  Everything was just perfect.  The staff could not have been better.  Absolutely no complaints.  We loved everything.

We were married on the 20th of this month and were here to celebrate our honeymoon.  I can honestly say this was our dream vacation.  I couldn’t believe how sweet and helpful everyone was.  The customer service is AMAZING.  We enjoyed the activities to the max.  The best part was that we truly felt at HOME.  You met and exceeded our expectations.  Thank you for making our honeymoon unforgettable!

A perfect family Christmas vacation destination.  The staff was friendly and accommodating.  The Resort was beautiful.  The activities were unique.  We will definitely return!

This was our greatest vacation ever!  Everyone we met was so accommodating.  The girls loved the ice skating, tubing, and dog sledding.  It was all wonderful.

Wonderful!  What a fabulous way to spend a relaxing and beautiful Christmas holiday.  Thank you to all!

To say we had a great time at Paws Up would be an understatement. In addition to the natural beauty of Montana and the breathtaking beauty and uniqueness of Paws Up, we were enchanted by the attitudes and friendliness of the staff, from the servers to the general manager. This was a one of a kind experience, and I fully intend to pass it on to my readers. Paws Up is definitely a hard act to follow.

It’s rare in life when an experience actually meets the high hopes and expectations one has going in. Our experience at Paws Up was one of those times. My wife and I had the most wonderful honeymoon and were so sad to leave. We’re already talking of how and when we can get back. We’ve raved about it to all our friends and family.  The champagne awaiting us on arrival at our meadow home was a very generous and much appreciated gesture.

To us, Paws Up is a magical place. The Staff elevates the experience even further. We found the staff to be the most comfortable, the most helpful and the most genuine. In River Camp and the furnishings everywhere - just a 9 to a 10 in execution. The electric blankets in the tents were a welcome addition. Fans? Right on. Walking sticks were the finishing touch to the great experience. That the kids could just head down to the Blackfoot and throw a fishing line in or a stone was great to them. The Kids Corps of Discovery is a stroke of genius. The two hard-core doubters (our sons Beck and Rory) were totally won over. The staff in Kids Corps and the activities are just right for them. I thank you and everyone for making our time unforgettable.

I just had to send you a note to tell you what a wonderful job was done by you and your staff. Everything was perfect!  The bellmen, serving personnel, bartenders and housekeepers were exceptional and made you feel that you were part of their family.  The food was fantastic; I’m sure we all gained a few pounds.  The extra little things-like sending us over to the Morris house, the setup for Easter egg dying and then the Easter Baskets that were left by the Easter Bunny, WOW! This was a weekend that all guests attending Amy & Colin’s wedding will never, never forget; the time just went by too quickly.  Your resort is incredible.  Please extend our sincere thanks to all.

Well, back in Florida from my amazing trip to Paws Up. I’m glad that I shared so many pictures because if I tried to describe my experience now it would be virtually impossible without visual aides. Even the photos barely give it justice. The views are just breathtakingly beautiful, the air crisp and clean and I can still hear the rush of the river. I miss it already! Ps. Where is my sweet butler to make me coffee and huckleberry pancakes!

Amazing amazing amazing!! The staff and hospitality is incredible. Everyone in very friendly and welcoming. I wouldn’t have anything bad to say about this resort. Definitely wishing we could stay much longer. The trail ride and cattle drive have been the best experience thus far. Thank you Paws Up!!

AMAZING from start to finish! The staff at Creekside was by far phenomenal! Our Butler staff Kylie and Jake 2 amazing people that enjoy their Jobs...it shows in their smiles! So eager to make our experience AWSOME and by far exceeded our expectations! From sun up to sun down and everything in between top notch! The food at our camp def 5 star! Definitely a MUST destination for ALL to experience!

Excellence in every category! They think of everything and make it happen. Zero mistakes or disappointments. Best service ever. Beautiful setting! Every employee was personable and professional. Montana. My new favorite state. Paws Up is the best hands down!
