Arena Lessons for Adults

For adults who don’t have notable horse experience and who might need a confidence booster before hitting the trails, this activity is for you. If you have struggled with your horse “not listening” in the past, or believe that your horse always knows “that you‘re not the boss,” our adult arena lessons will help you shift that way of thinking. You can establish yourself as a confident and serious but kind leader whenever you get onto a horse.

At Paws Up, we believe there are no horse problems, only people problems. Your wrangler will teach you how to, and then hold you accountable for, setting and enforcing boundaries with your horse by first teaching you a bit about their nature and where our training philosophies are rooted. Each lesson starts on the ground, teaching you what proper ground manners look like, why they are important and how to establish them with your horse. This is something we believe to be the foundation for success in the saddle. Once, and only if, you have a breakthrough on the ground, you will be permitted to mount up and put those newfound leadership traits to use on your horse’s back.
